Job Description
The accounting assistant is tasked with accounting support for the company. Day to day work includes clerical and administrative functions such as encoding data, record detailing of sales transactions, filing financial records, inventory counts, and other tasks related to sales and accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic office tasks such as filing of sales documents & data entry in inventory system
- Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person
- Processing sales and stock movement transactions
- Help coordinate and monitor accounts receivables
- Assist management with audits, fact checks and resolving discrepancies
- Encoding summary of monthly sales for submission to accountant
- Assist in inventory counts
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in Accounting or Finance related course
- Prior work experience in handling accounts receivable, payables and reconciliation is a plus
- Attention to detail
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Has strong analytic mind
- Self motivated and willing to learn
