Job Description

SalesCandy is a Software-as-a-Service application comprising two web applications, one Android mobile application (using Kotlin), and a microservices backend deployed on AWS utilizing a variety of AWS managed products including AWS Lambda, Aurora MySQL, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, ElasticSearch and others.

You will report to the Chief Technology Officer, and you will be responsible for overall system administration, maintenance and development of new features or architectural updates to ensure continuous uptime, security and reliability of the daily operations of the stack.

Key Accountabilities

  • Management of AWS account security and costs
  • Proactive system maintenance of SalesCandy stack
  • Development of new features for SalesCandy
  • Ensure successful customer integrations using web APIs and other methods

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and implement new features as per technical and business requirements
  • Improve existing products, including server reliability, performance and uptime
  • Ensuring the security and reliability of the stack and customer data at all times
  • Continuous monitoring of system health and performance and fix issues as necessary
  • Support our current product including troubleshooting with Customer Success Team or with customers directly
  • Acquire new knowledge necessary to maintain a process of technological evolution
  • Able to lead a development team of 3 to 5 developers (including in-house, outsource or remote freelancer) when appointed as team lead for the project

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of experience in developing web applications
  • Able to work independently in a remote work environment
  • Knowledge and experience in AWS account management and security
  • Knowledge and experience in all technologies used in the SalesCandy stack:
  • Angular 12+ framework
  • Serverless framework
  • AWS Lambda with Node.js
  • DynamoDB
  • Redis
  • Aurora MySQL
  • ElasticSearch (ELK stack)
  • Appsync
  • REST API gateway
  • Kotlin Android mobile application
  • Knowledge and experience in all integration methods used by Customers and third-party providers including: web API, email (AWS SES), Twilio API, WhatsApp Business API, Facebook.
