Job Description

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintenance of Books of Accounts

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
  • Prepare or review applicable balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist on tax accounting

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Prepare schedules and documents provided to external advisors on the monthly, quarterly and annual tax review and filings
  • Prepare and file applicable tax returns and reports (i.e. books of accounts) with the BIR
  • Initiate/process tax payments
  • Prepare and issue expanded withholding tax certificates to the vendors
  • Ensure vendors issue official receipts
  • Prepare monthly official receipts and sales invoices
  • Obtain monthly Certificate of Inward Remittances from partner bank
  • Prepare and file applicable monthly, quarterly and annual PEZA/BOI reports and documents
  • Assist in securing annual PEZA/BOI certificate of incentives
  • File PEZA Farm in/out, if applicable
  • Assist on annual renewal of business permits
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of applicable reports with the SEC
  • Ensure compliance with Accounting Standards both local and US
  • Prepare schedules and documents provided to external auditors in relation to the financial statements

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare information in relation to the preparation of financial statements
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports

Accounting & Operational Support

  • Prepare finance related POs and payment requests
  • Assist in processing of vendor invoices and check issuances
  • File T&E expense reports, employee reimbursements, vendor invoices, official receipts, contracts and other related documents
  • Work on the local problem resolution (i.e. AP, Procurement, T&E, Cash Management, etc.) when needed.
  • Interacts with various teams internally (i.e. AP, T&E, Procurement, People team, Legal, R2R, Payroll, Treasury, Tax. etc.) and external parties (i.e. vendors, Legal, Auditors, etc.)

Other Matters

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures .
  • Prepare schedules and documents provided to external advisors during tax investigations, if there is any
  • Prepare schedules and documents provided to internal auditors, if there is any
  • Assist in ad-hoc reports/projects

Minimum Qualifications

What we’re looking for:
Basic Qualifications:

  • Accounting or Finance degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in related field
  • Technical/professional knowledge & skills on related field
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Action oriented and ensures accountability
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Preferably with knowledge of Oracle or other similar financial system
