Job Description
Review of Payment Requests and Endorsement for Bank Approval
- Check payment request form
- Validate supporting documents including receipts, sales invoice, etc.
- Ensure complete approvals of department supervisor and head on payment request
- Endorse for further approval of General Accounting Head or Comptroller
- Endorse for bank approvals all reviewed payment requests
Approve Entries on Accounting System (ERP)
- Review journal entries on disbursement and cash receipts module
- Validate against attachments (supporting file or receipts)
- Approve or reject as necessary
Review of BIR Filings
- Review regular BIR filings on expanded withholding tax, final withholding tax and Value-Added Tax
- Review other necessary filings and submission to the BIR
- Oversee and monitor BIR calendar to ensure completeness of filing and submission
Monitoring of Month End Accruals and Prepayments
- Prepare month-end accruals and adjustments on expenses
- Check and monitor expense balances
- Encode related entries to the accounting system
Preparation of Month End Balance Sheet Schedules
- Prepare month-end schedules for review of GA Head
- Check any unusual item/entry and coordinate with process owner for adjustment, if necessary
- Request and consolidate other schedules prepared by specific process owner
Checking of Employee Clearance and Accountabilities
- Check any floating receivable from resigned employee
- Note in the clearance form for consideration of quit claim computation
Support on Month End Financials Preparation and Review
- Provide support to Assistant Manager and Manager on preparation and review of month end financials
Minimum Qualifications
- Education. Bachelor’s Degree Graduate in Accountancy;
- Experience. At least 1-2 years of experience in Accounting and Taxation;
- Skills. Basic general accounting and taxation;
- License. Certified Public Accountant (CPA);
- Working Setup. Hybrid, at least 1-2x a week in the HQ located in Legaspi Village, Makati; and
- Working Schedule. Monday to Friday, 44 hours weekly.
