Job Description
- Analyzing customer demand/seasonal trend and customer buying pattern
- Plan and source the right products and assortments
- Negotiating with suppliers to get the lowest possible price, higher-margin (both front/back end Margin-buying income)
- Managing items and vendor information
- Implement category management
- Manage price change (Cost and retail)
- Work with suppliers on demand planning in advance
- Plan promotional activities with suppliers and work with the marketing department
- Issue PO’s (for promotional items and new items)
- Monitor the service level of suppliers delivery and take necessary action
- Monitor the in-stock level and take necessary action
- Monitor for overstock and take necessary action
- Analyze the performance of categories
- Work with the operation to ensure the plan is communicated, implemented and if any issues occur, necessary action must be taken
- Prepare the report for Management
- Monitor the competition activities (Products, Price and Promotion)
Minimum Qualifications
- University Graduate
- Microsoft Office( Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Understand the Category
- 3 and 4 years experience as hotel buyer, restaurant buyer, and food buyer, and Grocery related.
- Negotiation skill required
- Can speak English is plus
- Planning, Organization, and Managing team and suppliers
- High integrity, team player, detail-oriented, willingness to learn
- Some overtime may be required as and when needed
- Ability to display initiative, follow instructions and work with limited supervision.
- Organized time management skills.
- Strong management/leadership skills.
- Ability to make decisions and provide direction.
- Willingness to learn P&L reports
