Job Description
- Optimize cost and quality of product
- Optimize layout of factory, including equipment placement and material flows
- Optimize efficiency and productivity of manufacturing operations
- Monitor and ensure quality of product
- Suggest continuous improvements to assembly process
- Suggest continuous improvements to material selection and specification
- Work with suppliers to monitor and ensure material quality
- Assist with packaging design and logistics to improve outgoing product quality
- Perform risk assessments
- Write work instructions and process documents
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality standards and industry best practices
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, highly organized and very detail-oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Good math skills for troubleshooting, analysis and design
- Solid inter-personal skills
- At least 1yr experience in a similar role
- Lean Six Sigma training is a definite plus
- Proficient with Windows and MS Office. Experience with CAD is a plus.
