Microbiologist  

Key Accountabilities

• Perform test on the following i.e., incoming raw materials, finished product, water, food and environment monitoring.
• Collaborate with quality assurance and production in ensuring compliance of process and operation to Food Safety.
• Leads and maintains quality control systems and product/process verification systems, including sampling procedures and analytical tests to ensure all products produced meet food safety quality requirements.
• Maintain inventory and request order for all laboratory needs and monitor replenishment.
• Review regulatory environment and develop response protocols in preparation for new or amended food safety legislation.
• Conduct research on various microbiological studies on a regular basis and keep up to date methods.
• Participate for proficiency development.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations
• Proficient in using and operating laboratory equipment
• Develop document results of laboratory analysis for all raw materials and equipment, and monitor all finished products.
• Document updated microbiology laboratory procedures and prepare final report.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or Biochemistry or related field
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a microbiologist or directly related work experience
• Highly skilled in microbiology techniques, methodology, equipment and supplies
• In-depth knowledge of laboratory tests used in microbiology work.
• Advance computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
