Purchasing Associate  

The Purchasing Associate position is responsible in providing administrative support to purchasing team that involves monitoring, and coordination of purchasing and materials delivery, vendors and contract management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Purchasing and Materials Delivery

• Coordinates with requisitioning department/party for the specification and description for materials/items requested and evaluates the requisition as to the urgency, nature of items and quantity needed.
• Canvasses material/items from suppliers; considers quality and cost efficiency
• Schedules delivery of materials and coordinates with concerned parties.
• Researches and evaluates suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
• Monitor deliveries to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems trace deliveries and follow-up undelivered goods.

Supplier and Contracts Management

• Assists Purchasing Manager in managing relationships with suppliers. Establishes good and lasting relationship with vendors by providing accurate details on time and answering their inquiries in a professional and polite manner.
• Analyzes new and existing suppliers to achieve the goal of providing the best quality product or service at the most competitive cost.
• Prepares, monitors, updates and safekeeps supplier contracts and database.

• Preferably with related experience in purchasing in an Food & Beverage (F&B) environment
• Computer literate - skilled in MS Excel
• Average written and communication skills
• Assertive and detail-oriented
