Job Description

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a cohesive copywriting strategy aligned with the brand's goals, values, and marketing objectives. Collaborate with the marketing, creative, and brand teams to ensure consistency in messaging across all platforms and campaigns.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Manage a team of copywriters, setting clear objectives, providing guidance, and fostering a creative and productive work environment. Delegate tasks effectively, manage workloads, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure team members meet quality and deadline expectations.
  • Content Creation and Oversight: Write and edit high-quality, engaging copy for various channels, including but not limited to advertising campaigns, websites, social media, emails, product descriptions, and marketing collateral. Review and approve content created by the team to ensure it aligns with brand guidelines, maintains consistency, and effectively communicates the intended message.
  • Brand Voice and Tone Maintenance: Ensure the consistency and integrity of the brand's voice, tone, and messaging across all communications and platforms. Develop and maintain style guides and best practices to ensure a unified brand voice in all written content.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, product, and sales, to understand their needs and effectively communicate messaging strategies. Work closely with stakeholders to understand campaign objectives, target audience insights, and product/service details to create compelling and effective copy.
  • Performance Analysis and Optimization: Monitor the performance of copywriting efforts, including metrics such as engagement, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). Use data-driven insights to optimize and improve copywriting strategies for better results and ROI.
  • Staying Updated and Innovating: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in copywriting and content creation to bring innovative and effective ideas to the table.

Minimum Qualifications

A Head of Copywriting should possess strong leadership skills, exceptional writing and editing abilities, a deep understanding of brand strategy, and the capacity to translate complex ideas into compelling copy. They should also have a strategic mindset and the ability to adapt to changing market trends and consumer preferences.
