Job Description

•Oversees the development of Subsidiaries planning department hydraulic models to ensure masterplan alignment

•Conducts technical concept review of master plan and makes sure programs of projects are successfully implemented

•Leads cross functional team in the development of internal feasibility studies, reference design and optimization programs of existing water and used water system to ensure service commitment delivery

•Act as a technical resource to New Business Development, to get buy in of key decision makers (as needed).

•Acts as a strategic partner of Business units and New Business Development team in the identification/initiation of new projects to meet the end user’s objectives

•Performs audit, peer review functions to ensure adherence to set Project Management policies. Ensures timely and quality Information and reports on project status, accomplishments, and documentation.

•Plans and executes training programs for Technical talents aligned with business objectives of the company

•Provide guidance to business units to resolve technical issues that may arise. Acts as initial point of contact for all water and wastewater system related concerns.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensed Engineer
  • With at least 5-year work experience in water source/ water supply and used water masterplan development
  • Knowledge on environmental laws and programs
  • At least 3-year management experience

Building on its success in the East Zone of Metro Manila, Manila Water is pursuing strategic partnerships in order to leverage its position in the markets covered by key metropolitan areas in the Philippines. The company is exploring potential projects in both water and environmental services. Recognizing the increasing demand for sustainable water and used water solutions for the domestic market, Manila Water aims to capitalize on these opportunities with the same focus and intensity that it has exhibited in its base market. Manila Water Philippine Ventures (MWPV) was designated as the vehicle for expansion within the Philippines. With focus on geographic expansion, its specific mandate is to look for new acquisitions and partnerships across the country while leveraging on the track record set by the existing subsidiary businesses in Boracay, Cebu, Clark and Laguna. Currently under MWPV are LagunaAAA Water Corporation (“Laguna Water”), Boracay Island Water Company (“Boracay Water”), Clark Water Corporation (“Clark Water”), Manila Water Consortium, Inc. (“MW Consortium”), and Estate Water, an operating division under MWPV which operates and manages the water systems of townships developed by Ayala Land, Inc. A subsidiary of MW Consortium is Cebu Manila Water Development, Inc. (“Cebu Water”) that provides bulk water in the province of Cebu. The Group has other new projects in its portfolio including the Zamboanga City performance-based non-revenue water reduction project under Zamboanga Water Company, Inc. (“Zamboanga Water”) and the Tagum City bulk water supply project under Tagum Water Company, Inc. (“Tagum Water”), among others.
