Job Description
We are M2.0 Communications, and we do digital communications and PR work for multinationals and large local companies in industries such as electronics and appliances, real estate development, and technology. We are looking for an individual who is used to the pressures of dealing with a demanding business development team and is smart enough to know that financial management is as much about relationship management as it is about working with numbers. If you are a CPA, love working with spreadsheets, are great at analyzing numbers in a flash, and have a keen knowledge of the newest local and global accounting standards, then you might be the person we’re looking for.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant specializing in tax compliance to join our team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation, review, and filing of tax returns, as well as providing expert tax planning advice to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and exceptional attention to detail.
What are your responsibilities?
- Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company’s tax database
- Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
- Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits
- Make sure that clients comply with national and local tax regulations
- Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
- Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work
- Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
- Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications
- File the monthly, quarterly and annually tax returns of the Company
- Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
- Preparing financial analyses and reports.
- Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
- Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA license highly preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or related field.
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, with demonstrated expertise in tax compliance, planning, and research.
- Proficiency in tax software and accounting software, including but not limited to QuickBooks and others.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and develop innovative solutions to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing high-quality work and minimizing the risk of errors or discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts and findings to clients, colleagues, and regulatory authorities.
- Leadership abilities with experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff, fostering a collaborative work environment, and promoting professional development.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with changes in tax legislation and industry trends.
- High ethical standards with a dedication to upholding integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in all aspects of work.
