Job Description
kumu’s Mobile Release Manager will own and drive our Mobile Release lifecycle. In addition to ensuring releases, you will also be responsible for alpha-beta testing programmes, release related feedback tools and driving automation for release procedures.
What you’ll do:
- As the owner of the Release process, You will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes. You will be the go-to person for release topics on iOS, Google Play as well as other platforms, and to ensure all stakeholders have the right level of visibility before and after the rollout.
- You drive the release management strategy and execute on the roadmap by collaboratively working with developers, QA’s and product managers.
- Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality and continually work towards making improvements in the release process.
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and that they meet or exceed expectations in terms of stability. Monitor key indicators and handle release reporting.
- Communicate status and schedules, manage risks, evaluate tradeoffs, and call out impediments taking into account product features and third party dependencies.
- Consistently researches new software development tools/practices that helps in receiving early feedback for our mobile products and driving automation in different steps.
- Own event tracking instrumentation and data quality and consistency.
Minimum Qualifications
Ideally, you also have the following skills under your belt:
- Experience in release management of mobile applications (iOS/Android) in fast paced, highly collaborative and high growth environments.
- Expert in app submission, review, and release methodologies, including alphas and betas.
- Proficient in use of issue tracking tools and platform-specific app stores.
