Job Summary: The Graphic Artist is responsible for creating visually appealing and on-brand graphics, illustrations, and designs that enhance the overall aesthetic and communication of the brand. They collaborate closely with the Creative, Marketing, Visual Merchandising and E-commerce teams to develop captivating visual content that resonates with the target audience and aligns with the company's brand identity.
- Graphic Design: Create original graphics and visual assets for various marketing materials, including but not limited to advertisements, social media content, email campaigns, website banners, promotional materials, and packaging.
- Illustration: Develop unique illustrations and artwork that reflect the brand's style and values, ensuring that they are engaging and relevant to the target audience.
- Branding: Maintain a strong understanding of the company's brand identity, style guidelines, and target market to ensure consistency across all visual materials.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, merchandising, and photography, to brainstorm and execute creative concepts that effectively communicate marketing messages.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated with current design trends, fashion industry developments, and emerging creative techniques to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the design process.
- Layout and Composition: Design layouts that effectively balance typography, imagery, and negative space to create visually pleasing and impactful designs.
- Adaptation and Variation: Modify existing designs to suit different platforms and formats while maintaining brand integrity.
- Feedback Incorporation: Actively participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to continuously improve the quality of work.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize graphic design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) to create high-quality visual assets.
- Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all design deliverables are completed within established timelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Graphic Artist or similar role, preferably in the fashion or retail industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including graphics, illustrations, and layout designs.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Corel Draw etc.).
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
- Creative thinking and the ability to translate concepts into compelling visuals.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of fashion industry trends and terminology is a plus.
