Job Description
As the Group Consolidation Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial Controller of the goFLUENT Group who is based in Manila. You will be part of the team who will oversee the financial activities of our 20 subsidiaries located in 16 countries worldwide. Your main task is to work with the Financial Controller in delivering timely and comprehensive understanding of the group’s growth globally. You will be instrumental in accurate and useful reporting tools and systems for the goFLUENT entities and will work closely with the Financial Controller in maintaining, completing, and auditing of the accounts, as well as the forex revaluation.
The scale and variety of data collected will then be used to create reports describing the outlook for the company as well as to provide realistic recommendations on what actions the company can take to maximize its profits and organization.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the timely and accurate posting, balancing, and reconciliation of the general ledger for each entity.
- Prepares work papers, financial statements, and various reports for internal accounting and auditing.
- Researches and analyzes fluctuations between current financial results compared to prior year, prior month, and budgeted amounts.
- Works with independent auditors and insurance department auditors to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
- Prepares insurance department quarterly and annual statements including the conversion from GAAP accounting to statutory accounting
- Prepare statutory financial statements (including consolidations) for audit, records management purposes, and for submission to various stakeholders.
- Collate and consolidate financial data from the different subsidiaries of the group.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly consolidated financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting for all subsidiaries of the group.
- Develop and manage compliance audits and internal controls.
- Manage compliance to the Revenue Recognition processes and policies.
- Implement metrics that allow end users to make informed decisions and evaluate the effectivity of current KPIs for all subsidiaries and ensure compliance to set metrics,
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls while ensuring compliance with local and global regulatory policies.
- Support the subsidiaries in setting up their accounting software and COA in order to meet the Group Reporting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting
- 2 years experience in Finance, focusing on Financial Reports, GAAP and IFRS
- Experience in Foreign Exchange Market
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
