Job Description
Primary Responsibility
Responsible for the total analysis, planning, recommendation, execution and evaluation of marketing plan for the retail business with the end view of realizing short and medium term optimum business growth. This spans the product, advertising, promotions, selling and general administration of the brand.
Essential Functions:
- Draws up of the annual strategic and marketing plan for the retail business, and all brands/ products related to the business.
2. Regularly plans and monitor sales, budgets and profitability, market shares/standing; scans and monitors market trends, consumer behaviors, and other related industry developments and recommends appropriate action as they relate to the retail business and brand/product (s) assigned
3. Initiates innovative programs to ensure continuous brand equity building of the business/es assigned.
4. Initiates new and creative ways of enhancing existing products and improving plans involving the development of new products
5. Coordinates with “supply chain” departments (Manufacturing, Logistics, Purchasing, Retail Operations) to ensure achievement of targets; appropriate implementation of agreed marketing supports, promos, pricing and merchandising matters; as well as other support groups (Planning, QA, Training) to ascertain consistency in quality of both products and service.
6. Generates new concepts for the development of new products, packaging design; coordinates closely with R&D and Production to ensure effective and quality implementation of development plans
7. Coordinates with external contacts (Ad/ Research/Promo agencies, packaging/POP materials supplier) for development/execution of new and creative advertising/brand activations/campaigns and packaging developments
8. Oversees the smooth execution of sales, advertising, media and promotions plans while ensuring budget control
9. Conduct regular retail outlet checks and accomplishes reports accordingly
10. Trains subordinate(s) to be an effective coordinator; motivates and encourages subordinate(s) to be independent and have initiative.
11. Performs other tasks and duties that may be assigned from time to time upon the proper orientation and/or training.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of business related courses, preferably with MBA units.
- At least five (5) years experience in product management handling branded consumer goods.
- With working knowledge in market research and with the ability to analyze and interpret market research data.
- Must have strong leadership and managerial background, highly innovative, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate.
