Accounting Head  

Summary: Perform and ensure the accuracy and timely financial reporting, oversee general accounting functions, review current accounting processes, and make recommendations and improvements. Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as a strong understanding of accounting and management principles and financial legislation.

• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Monitors and reviews transactions that are processed manually and posted to the ERP System OracleNetSuite
• Oversees the production of financial statements such as but not limited to cash flow reports, balance sheets and income statements, etc.; ensures that the reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
• Prepares costing summary report for completed and ongoing projects (housing and development)
• Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
• Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
• Presents recommendations to management on short and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
• Ensures compliance with the requirements of local government agencies and keeping track of all the deadlines set by the same.
• Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, monthend, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on-time.
• Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
• Keeping informed about the latest developments in the finance industry.
• Review and recommend modifications to OracleNetSuite system and procedures.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Liaise with the President to improve financial process and procedures.

Schedule: Monday – Friday

• M – Th: 9:00 am – 6:30 pm
• F: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm

• Must be possess a degree in Accounting or Finance
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• At least 8 years of related experience and excellent management and supervisory skills
• High level of efficiency and accuracy
• Strong organizational, stress management, and leadership skills
• Excellent business communication skills and detailorientedness
• Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles
• Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data
• Proficiency with computer software; especially in MS Excel, and in utilizing OracleNetSuite Accounting software and Tax preparation software (BIR filing)
• Must be willing to work at our EDSA, Greenhills, San Juan City office
