Payroll and Timekeeping Clerk  

SUMMARY:

A Payroll / timekeeping Clerk is responsible for overseeing exempt and non-exempt payroll and timekeeping processes for the entire organization. He/she ensures accurate computation of all adjustments particularly for attendance, overtime, holiday, night differential pay and government mandated contributions.

CRITICAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Payroll Management:

• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
• Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information, etc.
• Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks.
• Process taxes and payment of employee benefits.
• Validates and uploads transactions of resigned employees for their last pay.
• Maintains high degree of customer service for all support queries and adheres to all service management principles.

2. Timekeeping:

• Verify attendance, hours worked, pay adjustments.
• Follow up for missing inputs and data.
• Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, in order to maintain and update payroll records.
• Handle complaints or questions regarding discrepancies.
• Other Adhoc reports / tasks as required.

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Office Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resource, or any related field
• At least 2 years of work experience in Manuel Timekeeping/Payroll or any related field is required
• Prior BPO experience is a plus
• Familiar with Jeonsoft Payroll Suite system
• Proficient with Microsoft applications particularly in Excel
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
