National Operations and Control Center Supervisor  

The National Operations and Control Supervisor is responsible for leading the NOCC efforts towards the efficient implementation and execution of its operations to maximize generation for plants in Hedcor group and other RE plants (ROR, Wind & Solar)

Regular Operations:

• Supervises the overall operations of the NOCC including formulation, execution, and evaluation of strategies, processes and systems to achieve the groups goals.
• Supervises the implementation of standard operating procedures and work instructions of all plants in Hedcor Group and other RE plants (ROR, Wind & Solar)
• Track and maintain records for operations, such as site performance, downtime events or substation events through substation and plant management applications to assess and evaluate plant availability, reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain operations records from SCADA or other documentation through different applications to assess and evaluate plant availability, reliability and efficiency.
• Develop processes or procedures for NOCC operations through information management systems to streamline work within the control center
• Monitor and maintain records of daily facility operations through substation and plant management applications to assess and evaluate plant availability, reliability and efficiency.
• Reports plant performance on production, budget commitments, kWh losses update, and other relevant information/reports required by immediate superior.
• Ensures that expenses are within the approved budget by monitoring and controlling operations and manpower expenses (overtime). Monitors monthly expenditures for NOCC Operations and provides variance explanations to Management as needed
• Ensures availability of needed resources in the plants by conducting regular site inspection and checking the reports of the National Operations and Control Engineers.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual generation budget (short and long term). In collaboration with the Grid and RAM.
• Schedules and coordinates monthly meetings to discuss updates on KPIs, and other issues and concerns of subordinates pertaining to NOCC operations. Ensures that KPI’s are attained
• Provides data and trends to the maintenance team during outage . And assist in the conduct of RCA
• Ensures that critical alarms captured during operations are managed and reported to the Maintenance team for verification on site. Make sure to provide data to maintenance for verification.
• Ensures regulatory requirements WESM/ERC/DOE reports are being submitted with complete details and on time.
• Ensures DAN/renomination for all Hedcor plants are submitted. Make sure the 5minute requirements are implemented.
• Supervise employees to ensure quality of work or adherence to safety regulations or policies.
• Ensures compliance to ISO requirements and Implements Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Determination of Controls (ORMP)/Aspect Impact Assessment on operations in NOCC
• Ensures that INYOvation projects for NOCC are developed, approved, and implemented.
• During Rehabilitation Period
• Coordinates annual maintenance of all plants in Hedcor Group and other RE plants (ROR, Wind & Solar)
• Monitors operations activities and reports its status to immediate superior.

• Bachelor’s Degree holder in Engineering Preferably holds Post Graduate diploma/ Master’s Degree
• Licensed Engineer (ME/EE/ECE)
• Possesses strong leadership capabilities and above average analytical skills
• Above average verbal and non-Verbal communication skill
• Extensive knowledge on the Philippine Grid Code and Philippine Electrical and Mechanical Code
