Job Description
Will be responsible for providing support and assistance to observe all applicable laws, rules, and regulations in meeting our tax compliance with BIR, BOI, SEC, and other government agencies.
Tax Compliance
- Assists in the preparation of account schedules and reconciliations for BIR tax audits and other BIR inquiries.
- Assists in tax compliance audits as well as day-to-day compliance and provides feedback to the management.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly and special reports on the status of BIR audits, VAT claims, and the status of court cases relating to taxes.
- Assists in the timely filing of administrative claims for VAT refunds as well as judicial claims.
- Assists in ensuring the complete documentation required for VAT claims and follow-up and monitoring of the status of the VAT claims.
- Assists in the conversion of Tax Credit Certificates into Tax Debit memos and their timely application against the Company’s tax liabilities.
- Submits reports to BIR offices on or before tax due dates, as necessary.
- Ensures and monitors timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, Withholding taxes, Income tax, and other applicable tax types), and timely remittance of corresponding tax amounts.
- Dissemination of existing and new tax regulations in a timely manner.
- Assists in the preparation and submission of reports to BIR, SEC, BOI, and other government agencies.
- Ensures that all accountabilities and reportorial requirements in the Project Financing and/or Loan Covenants are complied with.
- Ensures that performance bonds and other similar requirements of PSALM and other regulatory bodies are obtained on a timely basis.
- Monitor timely payment of payables to borrowers/lenders, government institutions, suppliers, or contractors.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a Bachelor’s degree holder in Accountancy
- Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Knowledgeable of tax compliance and VAT Claims
- Preferably with related work experience
- 1 vacant position available in La Trinidad, Benguet
