Job Description
Role Summary
The position holder is responsible for providing geotechnical engineering analysis and documentation on assigned projects of ARI to achieve the objective of developing and executing financially, technically and commercially viable renewable energy projects.
Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities
- Analyze the interpretation of geophysical and geotechnical data and the specification of design parameters to integrate results into foundation design.
- Conduct geological and geotechnical site assessment and prepares reports.
- Prepares geological and geotechnical test plans.
- Assist and/or perform a analysis and calculation of slope stability.
- Identifies and manages Project resource requirements for the geotechnical aspect, both internal and external, including building up development & site management teams.
- Completes geotechnical investigation deliverables for Project development & Construction.
- Reviews geotechnical investigation proposals from 3rd party service providers to ensure proper scoping of services, terms of references, availability of manpower, and pricing.
- Ensures geotechnical activities are carried out in all stages of the project in accordance with policies and guidelines established by Renewable BUs including Health, Safety, Environment, and Social policies.
- Ensures all geotechnical equipment is regularly maintained, checked, and calibrated.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
- 1 year of project experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mining/Geological Engineering
- Licensed Engineer/Geologist
Technical Competencies
- Able to conduct surface inspection, characterize soil and rock properties and assess geological hazards onsite and use these information to mitigate project risks and for decision making
- Able to conduct sub-surface inspection, extract soil and rock samples and submit for laboratory testing
