Job Description
- The Finance Manager is responsible for the consolidation and analysis of the financial performance of the BUs. The position ensures that policies, processes, and standards in the finance and accounting area across the BUs are defined and rolled-out.
- The position is responsible in leading financial modelling, planning, and budgeting for key projects and issues of the BUs. Managing finance system related projects, roll-outs, and issue resolution is also part of the position’s responsibilities.
- Overall, the position is responsible in supporting the CFO in all areas pertaining to finance and accounting.
- Reviews variance analysis and explanation of financial statements against prior year and budgets; and highlights key issues to the Gen CFO for comments, recommendation and resolution
- Reviews consolidated monthly management reports with detailed analysis and submits it to the Gen CFO for presentation to AP Board, AP Gen Mancom and all other internal and external groups.
- Leads the standardization of analysis and presentation of financial and operational information across all different BUs.
- Reviews group-wide financial business processes for possible re-design and improvement resulting to better financial reporting.
- Leads the standardization of financial planning and budgeting reporting process, and monitors the preparation of the key accounts of the BUs for budgeting process
- Provides guidance to the Finance Specialist involved in financial modelling and issue resolution pertaining to key finance and accounting issues across the BUs; may lead occasionally depending on the situation
- Reviews all processes, policies, and standards across the finance and accounting area and ensures that these are properly defined and rolled out across all BUs
- Ensures that database support and administration process and guidelines are in place to support the Supply Chain Management activities
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- At least 5 years’ experience in finance and accounting in the corporate setting
- At least 2 years’ leadership experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Finance, or any related course
- Understanding of corporate finance, industry and energy-related laws, government regulations, issuances, standards, and decisions
- Mastery of the use of the spreadsheet software and other related applications, including financial modelling
- Keen ability to motivate staff to optimize work deliverables within tight time frames
- Understanding of the risk management strategies and processes
