Job Description

  • The position is responsible for assisting the AP Business Risk and Planning Manager in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of AP-wide Risk Management governance, initiatives/projects and process improvements and providing overall-risk related support to AP and BU sites and functions. The position will also lead in conducting market scanning/analysis, risk analysis and providing relevant risk reports.
  • Conducts regular reviews, updates, and assists in the development of 1AP ORM policies, guidelines and procedures, including RM Context and Guidelines (e.g. likelihood and impact criteria, scope, frequency of reporting, etc)
  • Monitors and reports consistency of application of RM Context, Principles and requirements in the BUs
  • Continuously identifies and reports trends and changes in the external and internal environment that may have a potential impact to AP as a whole
  • Facilitates Risk Assessment (identification, analysis, and evaluation), as well as Risk Treatment Strategy and Actions sessions related to BU Operational Risks
  • Responsible consolidation of Business Group Strategic/Operational Risks and the validation of vulnerability ratings when necessary
  • Assist in RMP Reviews and challenges BU Risk Owners and Risk Managers for key BU Operational Risks and / or common risks that affect AP, BG, and multiple BUs
  • Communicates risk and risk management information and feedback from Board and Senior Management to AP BUs, for consideration and/or inclusion in the BG/BU Strategic or Operational Risk Management Plans
  • Assist in the development effective ORM training programs anchored on ISO 31000 Risk Management standards, including appropriate introductory training for new employees and managers, Senior Management and Board
  • Collaborates with Internal Audit the conduct of Operational Risk-related audits and assurance activities (internal and external) for BGs and BUs.
  • Help in creating a supportive and inclusive environment within the team, keep them informed and as mentor, offer constructive feedback and advice to their development and career aspiration
  • Facilitates assigned AP Business Group Strategic Planning and provide guidance in the development of Business Unit as well as CSU/BU Dept Operational Plans

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • At least three (3) years professional experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, strategy management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business or Economics
  • Good working knowledge of Risk Management,ISO 31000, ISO 27000, COSO standards, FM Global, other risk engineering standards
  • With RM certification preferred
  • Power Industry experience preferred
