Job Description
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment
- Participate on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
- Work primarily in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and SPA Frameworks (e.g. React & Angular)
- Work closely with the product owner and UI/UX designer to bring the product vision to life
Minimum Qualifications
Here’s what you’ll need:
Junior Level
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Information Systems or other related courses. Undergraduates are welcome to apply.
- Must have at least 1 - 2 years of work experience building small to large-scale software applications
- Basic experience building web applications, and understanding of the principles of RESTful API design
- Knowledge in at least 1 front-end and 1 back-end programming language:
- Front End: SPA Framework (React & Angular), JavaScript, TypeScript
- Back End: Java, Spring Boot, Node.js
- Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques, ability to follow established procedures to troubleshoot and fix simple bugs.
- Basic experience with unit/integration testing
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodology and practices.
- Familiarity with common design patterns and an understanding of how they can be applied to software development.
- Strong communication skills to work with clients and counterparts
Senior Level
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or other related courses.
- Must have at least 3 - 5 years of work experience building small to large-scale software applications
- Experience building web applications and designing and integrating RESTful APIs, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance
- Knowledge in at least 1 front-end and 1 back-end programming language:
- Front End: SPA Framework (React & Angular), JavaScript, TypeScript
- Back End: Java, Spring Boot, Node.js
- Proven ability to identify and resolve complex bugs and experience with performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with unit/integration testing
- Experience in Agile and Scrum methodology and practices
- Experience working with various design patterns, and the ability to identify the appropriate pattern for a given problem.
- Proven experience leading a team or mentoring junior developers
- Strong communication skills to work with clients and counterparts
Lead Level
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or other related courses.
- Must have at least 5+ years of work experience building small to large-scale software applications
- Proven experience building web applications and designing and integrating high-performing, scalable and secure RESTful APIs, with the ability to lead and guide a team in the development process.
- Knowledge in at least 1 front-end and 1 back-end programming language:
- Front End: SPA Framework (React & Angular), JavaScript, TypeScript
- Back End: Java, Spring Boot, Node.js
- Demonstrated success in improving application performance through debugging and optimization,
- Extensive experience with unit/integration testing
- Proven experience leading teams and projects, and ability to take on complex problems and find solutions quickly
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Bonus points if you have:
- Familiarity with web security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques
- Experience with web security best practices and technologies
- Ability to design and implement secure web applications
