Logistics Safety Officer | Consultant  

•Leads in the communication of Republic Health & Safety practices such that a common understanding is reached across all internal and external stakeholders of Supply Chain.

•Monitors progress of Supply Chain stakeholders to ensure that compliance to established health & safety rules is attained.

•Renders sound advice and counsel to Supply Chain actors who require help in the effective implementation and incorporation of Health & Safety rules in the execution of Supply Chain functions.

•Measure and monitor Supply Chain Health & Safety performance.

•Conducts regular audits and inspection across Republic and other external facilities relevant to Republic dispatch operations.

•Leads in the accident investigation of incidents related to Supply Chain, including the follow through such that all actions pertinent to LTIs and serious near-misses are closed out and communicated.

•Recommends / proposes solutions and actions in order to ensure compliance to established Health & Safety standards and sustenance thereof.

•Reviews new Supply Chain contracts to make sure that Health & Safety aspects are fully incorporated; ensures that on-boarding orientation is done to emphasize correct understanding, agreement and compliance to H&S practices.

•Analyzes H&S performance including establishment of a performance dashboard to aid in effective and unbiased monitoring.

•Participates in Health & Safety networks within and outside of Republic as a means to establish leadership and take advantage of opportunities for learning.

• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
• Worked as a Safety Officer in a logistics company or similar industry to Cement.
• A registered H&S practitioner with local authorities and/or recognized international institution.
• Knowledge in Supply Chain.
• Good Supervisory skills.
