Job Description
- Operate a Red Cross vehicle
- Transport Red Cross Board members, staff, volunteers, IFRC representatives, ICRC representatives and partner National Societies
- Provide safe and timely transportation
- Maintain a Red Cross allocated vehicle with a focus on safety and cleanliness
- Ensures cleanliness of the assigned vehicle before and after transportation of clients, equipment, materials and/or supplies
- Performs minor repairs, washing of vehicles etc. as required
- Maintains vehicle accessories such as repair kit, spare tires, and general equipment.
- Maintain log and/or record of all travel orders and transportation details
- Communicate regularly with NHQ, Fleet Officer, Chapter Manager, Chapter Head Driver and/or direct supervisor regarding location and travel plans
- Report accidents or road incidents immediately
- Notifies appropriate supervisor regarding any mechanical, electrical or general vehicle defects which require repair
Minimum Qualifications
- At least highschool graduate
- 123 Driver’s License Restriction
- Ability to make decisions in-line with organizational goals and values
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Collaborates with team members to achieve shared outcomes
- Flexibility and a willingness to contribute outside standard office hours
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
