Job Description

  • Monitors employee membership in HMO;
  • Orients new employees to medical/dental benefits, and other health-related company policies rules and regulations;
  • Coordinates employees’ health education and disseminates health information through appropriate company communications;
  • Assesses and determines health status of employee after report of an illness, and provides appropriate nursing care;
  • Maintains first aid and medicine supply, and administers emergency treatment to injuries and other health-related issues within the legal scope of nursing responsibility;
  • Participates in disaster control programs implemented by the company;
  • Participates in health maintenance examinations and conducts examinations within the scope allowed by the nursing profession;
  • Transports ill and/or injured employees to hospital or home, and manages the patient in the absence of the company physician;
  • Prepares and submits reports on medical cases, accident analysis, hospital cases, medicine inventory, etc. to management;
  • Prepares and submits an annual medical report to LBPSC management, as required by DOLE/BWC/HSD/OH-47;
  • Processes PhilHealth transactions;
  • Receives and validates fully accomplished application forms for employee benefits, which include but are not limited to: Paternity Leave, Maternity Leave, Solo Parent Leave, Quitclaims and Clearances;
  • Prepares certifications for PHIC contributions;
  • Maintains individual health records and their confidentiality;
  • Monitors and records of LBPSC employees’ leave credits;
  • Processes/Monitors employee benefits, such as quitclaims, Paternity Leave Forms, Special Leave (R.A. 9262 and Magna Carta for Women), and Parental Leave for Single Parents; and
  • Evaluates medical services for its effectiveness and relevance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse
  • Preferably with relevant work experience
  • With minimum of fifty (50) hours of the Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training
