Job Description
Special Duties:
- To write, edit and help conceptualize material (articles, videos, social media posts) for the brand and assist in all matters pertaining to the creation and production of the same as guided and directed by the Editorial Manager and Group Publisher.
- To ensure each post on the website includes all the required information.
- To ensure timely submission and posting of material for the website.
- To meet the assigned editorial and production deadlines.
- To supervise the daily operations of the publication
Job Responsibilites:
- Create unique, authentic, engaging content across the brand (print and digital platforms)
- Lead the team and support the Editorial Manager on digital strategy to grow multi-platform content, audience, and engagement
- Inspire the team to produce content tailored to both print and digital
- Manage the brand's social media platforms and video opportunities while training and empowering the team to do so as well
- Analyze and actively use metrics to inform editorial and strategic decisions
- Actively partner with the Editorial Manager, editors, and marketing team to create synergy around content, innovation, and campaigns
- Teach, coach, and mentor members of the team in best practices for writing and producing content for digital and social platforms
- Prepare editorial budget and oversee monthly budget
- Plans and maintains schedules for publications
- Oversees the activities of the brands group
- Edit and review articles, mockups, and proofs to ensure it adheres to the established style and tone
- Approve color proof corrections and monitor traffic and status updates
- Ensure, in conjunction with the Editorial Manager, that the tasks of any absent editor or editors are completed
- Set and enforce company policies and procedures as well as directives from Editorial Manager and Group Publisher
- Monitor and control budget
- Manage story assignments, set parameters, and oversee coordination of content and editing process
- Conduct editorial planning meetings and regular review of editorial inventory
- Oversee Rights and Permission for contributors
- Evaluate the performance of the subcontracted parties and finalize arrangements with subcontracted parties.
- Attend meetings and conferences as may be deemed necessary by immediate head/superiors, and follow their guidance and instructions.
- Performs other tasks from time to time
Minimum Qualifications
- A graduate of Journalism, Mass Communication or Media-related course
- Preferably with 2 years experience in Publishing, Writing, Public Relations, Styling, Advertising, Copywriting and Editing
- Digital Content Production and Digital Marketing (Writing, Strategies)
- Can work/knowledgeable in Content Management System (CMS)
- Management Skills - planning, leading, organizing and controlling

- Must be deadline-oriented
