Job Description

Position Overview
Bank Reconciliation Specialist will be working within a high performing and supportive team environment to provide accurate, timely and efficient bank reconciliation services to the organization.

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that appropriate processing of customer invoices and allocation of payments are completed in a timely manner including liaising with customers to ensure timely and efficient receipt of payments
  • Ensuring all Banking activities of the group are completed through the delivery of timely, efficient and accurate processing of banking transactions which includes regular reporting to all key stakeholders of outstanding items and anomalies.
  • Download bank statements from online banking portal
  • Download cash book data the system
  • Match cash book and bank statement data using advanced formulas in MS Excel
  • Identify cash book errors for correction
  • Investigate and resolve cash book errors
  • Identify unmatched transactions from bank statement that require entry into clinic system
  • Communicate unmatched transactions to clinic admin staff for them to identify and enter into the finance system
  • Clearing unmatched transactions once clinic admin staff have entered them into the clinic system
  • Re-importing cash book data into excel and finalise the matching to bank statement process
  • Import matched data into Pronto ERP
  • Perform bank reconciliation function in Pronto ERP (tick off matched items to produce a bank reconciliation report)
  • Prepare entries and ensure the accurate recording of revenues, expenses, adjustments, etc.
  • The timely and accurate calculation, resolution and processing of banking variances/ outstanding cash by preparing weekly/fortnightly reports and sending the reports to the respective stores/ team members.
  • Reconcile and report discrepancies found in records
  • Prepare and summarize monthly reports
  • Prepare bank reconciliation reports
  • Any other task/duty as directed by client/management

Minimum Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess at a Bachelor's / College Degree in Finance / Accountancy / Banking or equivalent
  • Strong experience in General Accounting especially Bank Reconciliation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with Pronto ERP, a definite advantage
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret and comprehend financial and non-financial data
  • Ability to work flexibly and demonstrate a willingness to respond to changing work requirements and peak periods
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management
  • High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy; team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization
  • Be able to demonstrate attention to details and good-record-keeping
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; hands-on and detail-oriented
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures
  • Previous experience working for an Australian client is an advantage
