Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
This post will ensure full operational feasibility of the commercial flight plan across resource holders during the current operating season; and shall be the overall single point of operational focus for the current season up to handover to Network Control.
The position is expected to initiate contingency planning for any external emergency situations such as force majeure, political unrest, strikes, and other controllable factors that may disrupt the operations within the span of control up to handover to Network Control.
This post shall be the central person to arrange schedules and minimize conflicts in the operations during adhoc flight activities such as, but not limited to charter flights, maintenance ferries, delivery and retirement flights, and the like.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the monthly schedule snapshot process and ensures 100percent sign off.
- Coordinate the monthly schedule feedback process and initiates corrective action.
- Plan all adhoc flying such as charters, cargo flights, ferries for maintenance, delivery and retirement flights, etc. on behalf of Operations team
- Design, organize, implement, and communicate a robust contingency plan which minimizes inconvenience to guests from unplanned actual and potential events such as resource shortfalls and/or external disruptions.
- Ensure maintenance of operational feasibility of the agreed flying plan and initiates action to adjust this when no viable operational delivery is possible.
- Submit a fully feasible operating plan that ensure all flights have slots, have the right aircraft type to be utilized, a complete fully rested crew, and all applicable clearances before handover to Network Control.
- Initiate appropriate escalation of unresolved issues and departmental conflicts to senior management.
- Provide single point of operational contact in Cebu Pacific during the current season for any queries from external agencies
- Provide technical guidance and support as well as first level supervision to the “day to day” Tactical Planners within the Network Control Center
- Balance guest requirements with operational deliverability and cost acceptability including the likely cost of disruption.
- Oversee operational introduction of new aircraft types, new routes, etc and take any necessary corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of a 4-year course ideally in the Aviation or Business.
- At least 3-5 years of experience as Airport Shift Manager, Network Control Manager, or any similar role.
- Airline commercial experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
