Electrical Technician | Toril, Davao City  

The position is responsible for the proper execution of preventive and corrective maintenance and testing of all electrical equipment in the plant following established work procedures as well as equipment, safety and environmental standards to ensure safe reliable and economical maintenance and operation of generating units, related auxiliaries and balance of plant.

Responsibilities:

• Installs, maintains and repairs electrical instruments, equipment and fixtures: power plant electrical circuits, motors, generators, transformers, lights, appliances, breakers, protective relays and switch gears in compliance with electrical codes, standards or regulations.
• Diagnoses electrical malfunctions using electrical test equipment and tools to determine the cause of the malfunction. Trouble shoots to correct the problem or recommends appropriate corrective action.
• Studies electrical plans and specifications to determine correct installation and/or repairs.
• Conducts preventive and predictive maintenance activities on identified plant equipment.
• Inspects regularly electrical systems, equipment and fixtures to identify hazards, defects, and items for adjustment, repair or replacement.
• Conducts testing on electrical motors, breakers, transformers and other electrical equipment. Generates report on status of electrical equipment and recommends appropriate action.

• Assists in the planning for the availability of spare parts to ensure continuing operations.
• Calibrates electrical instruments.

Safety, Health, Environment, and Housekeeping

• Complies with occupational safety and health as well as environmental rules and regulations to prevent accidents, illness, and adverse effects on the environment.
• Complies with housekeeping policies within his/her area of responsibility during assigned shift to maintain standards of cleanliness and orderliness of plant equipment and premises.

• At least 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance in a power plant or heavy industry
• Vocational Degree (3 year) in Electrical Technology course
• Must be open to be assigned to Toril, Davao City
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
