Mida Food Distributors Inc. and Mida Trade Ventures International Inc. was founded by Ms. Lourdes “Chingling” Tanco. Mida Food is a direct importer and distributor of frozen seafood products. We vigilantly protect our market share and stock as many as 200 different varieties of seafood. We also ensure a consistent supply to our clients. With offices in the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Jakarta and Surabaya, we are certain to supply products of excellent quality. Our staff has been certified by the Aquaculture Certification Council, the certification arm for Best Agricultural Practices, to certify that facilities such as hatchery, farm and processing plants abide with Best Aquaculture practices. We attend industry trade shows and conferences in Asia, Europe and North America; and visit various seafood plants, restaurants and hyper marts in these regions to keep us current. Key Responsibilities of a Senior Tax Accountant:

	<li>Prepare and review income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts</li>

The Junior Accountant is primarily responsible for maintaining and recording day-to-day financial transactions under Loft, which include, but not limited to, A/P, A/R, payroll and tax compliance.

The Junior Accountant will work closely with the General Accountant and Accounting Supervisor. S/he should also be able to effectively coordinate with the Loft Sales Team and August 99 Money Matters Team. S/he must also ensure that all transactions are properly documented and address all discrepancies and concerns as they arise.

 

Responsibilities

<ul>
	<li>Record day to day transactions for sales and purchases</li>
	<li>Prepares payroll register and statutory schedules with minimal number of employees</li>
	<li>Analyze reports generated from the accounting system</li>
	<li>Conduct month-end and year-end close process</li>
	<li>Deliver excellent customer service to Loft clients and team by addressing questions professionally and promptly</li>

The Person

We are seeking a very smart, exceptionally organized, and business-minded General Accountant with at least 3 years of commercial experience (previous work in the construction industry and with AU companies/clients is an advantage). A CPA license, process transition, and capabilities in the use of SAP, SAGE (Peachtree), NetSuite, or similar software, are desirable. You will report to the Head of Bookkeeping, Compliance and Administration Services in our Manila Office. You should be willing to observe Sydney working hours on an in-office or work from home arrangement.

This position will suit a qualified General Accountant on the way up in his/her career and who has had experience and face-to-face interaction with an international clientele.
