Graphic Artist  

Job Objectives:

Responsible for the conceptualization, execution, and coordination of artwork for a variety of media based on the company’s marketing and creative objectives while meeting the corporate brand standards.

Key Relationships

• External Industry partners – professional organizations, institutions, and others
• Suppliers – Printers, signage makers, contractors, and others
• Event & exhibit organizers
• Media Partners
• Other groups as needed for the execution/production of artwork.
• Internal ZGC sales groups, ZGC shared services groups.

Key Functions

1. Graphic Design & Production

• Inject new ideas and creative design solutions to meet the clients’ objectives and timeline.
• Design, finalize and execute various marketing materials for internal and external use which include but not limited to print and online advertisements, direct mailers, company and product brochures, corporate documents/stationary, company presentations, posters, backdrops, props and other promotional materials including those for corporate events and exhibits.
• Research and self-educate about the client, their background, and their objectives.
• Work closely with the Marketing Manager and fellow designers in the process from conceptualization, execution, to feedback of every design project assigned.
• Produce only quality work with zero tolerance for inaccuracies and errors in design and in copy.
• Ensure that all output are aligned with the corporate branding standard.
• Be up to date with the latest design trends and technology to minimize cost yet produce high quality output.
• Contribute design ideas for visual merchandising and further improvement of all ZGC stores/showrooms.
• Coordinate and manage all external and internal relations with professionalism and ensure all groups involved receive detailed and complete information on the project at hand.
• Uphold a high level of standard in design, execution and service at all times.

1. Internal Coordination
   • Ensure and manage a smooth and efficient workflow between members on projects through teamwork and open communication to meet deadlines.
2. Administration

• Organize and document digital and manual files of standards, proofs, jobs, projects and final output of materials
• Record and report any expenditures.
• Other general administration duties that may be needed/assigned.

Qualifications

Technical

• Graduate of Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or any design-related course
• At least 2 to 5 years of previous relevant experience
• Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat
• Excellent skills in MS Office
• Excellent understanding on the elements and principles of design
• Knowledgeable in print production and the different formats for printing
• Good communication skills both written and oral
• Good presentation skills
• Knowledge in Google SketchUp, 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD is an advantage
• Knowledge in website design and development is an advantage
• Background in visual merchandising is an advantage
