Microsoft Office Specialist | Remote | Hybird  

Wideout is seeking a Microsoft Office Specialist with expertise in graphic design to support the production of marketing materials that can be viewed or edited within the Microsoft Office Suite of applications. This person should have a bit of design flair to create impressive layouts, design graphics, and format images according to brand guidelines or as directed by clients, managers, and experts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Recreate and/or reformat documents built on other desktop publishing software using MS Office
• Export assets from different working files and import these within MS Office documents
• Apply and adhere to brand guidelines set for MS Office documents
• Create and updates MS Office templates and themes according to brand guidelines, especially when a brand refresh is called for
• Create PowerPoint master slides for client presentations and internal communications, including those that will be used by chief executives
• Format MS Office style texts like normal, headings, paragraphs, numbered and bulleted lists, and tables
• Create Outlook signatures
• Troubleshoot issues encountered as these defects tend to be unique in nature within the MS Office environment

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates and job seekers from BPOs and other industries are invited to apply; agency experience is highly advantageous
• Current design portfolio is required—will be used for evaluation
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Multimedia Arts, Communication Arts, Organizational Communication, Information Technology, or related field
• Expert proficiency in graphic design, illustration, and layout; experience in the production of marketing materials is highly advantageous
• Proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Word and PowerPoint (intermediate for Outlook and basic for Excel and Access); Microsoft Office Specialist Associate/Expert certifications will be highly considered
• Basic to intermediate knowledge in design using the Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is also required
• Knowledge of how image formats for logos and graphics work in Microsoft Office compared to other publishing and imaging software is required
• Able to work in both Windows and Mac operating systems
• Able to build or amend packaged digital files efficiently and accurately
• Experience with working with a digital asset management (DAM) platform is a plus
• Basic knowledge of typography is an advantage
• Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere, Animate, or HTML5 is a great plus but not required
• Knowledge in UI/UX and 3D computer graphics is a plus but not required
