About you and your key outcomes
Your main role as a Dashboard Analyst is to develop actionable insights dashboards that will enable our Operations teams in Thumbtack Philippines (TPH) to meet performance goals. You are our key data visualization expert and you will be instrumental in strengthening our drive towards a more data-driven organization.
What you’ll do
- Partner with various Thumbtack Operations teams to synthesize business needs, identify operational drivers and build actionable insights dashboards that will drive operational excellence.
- Build and maintain extraction scripts, data models and dashboards to ensure timely delivery of insights.
- Contribute to building a sustainable and self-service data platform.
- Assess, plan and prioritize backlog items and requests accordingly.
- Adapt to ever-changing business metrics due to a change in business strategy.

What will make you a perfect fit for this role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Information Management or Engineering or other data analytics-related course
- Has developed an end-to-end dashboarding project in Tableau or another visualization tool
- Has a good grasp of effective data storytelling and visualization techniques.
- Well-versed in various tools and techniques in data extraction (e.g. used SQL in extracting data from databases, combining structured data and semi-structured data/files, etc.)
What would be nice for you to have (i.e. basic technical understanding of the following)
- Experience in developing and maintaining dashboards in Tableau (Tableau 8.0 or later)
- Working knowledge of Google BigQuery and Google Scripting.
- Experience with other data visualization tools such as Mode Analytics, Qlikview, SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI, Google Data Studio, Altyrex etc.
- Experience in Data Warehousing (DWH) or Big Data project delivery in either Agile or Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) manner.
