SQA Specialist | Junior | Accessibility Tester  

• Reviews and fine-tunes the general accessibility test plan per release of each product
• Implements the plan to ensure testing is completed in time with the release schedule
• Reviews VRDPs of new enhancements in a release and identifies impact areas in accessibility testing.
• Creates a test strategy for new enhancements based on criterions affected by the ER and performs accessibility testing on these
• Discerns accessibility issues from wireframes (VRDPs).
• Performs regression testing on each release based on the test plan using a combination of manual tests and automated tools
• Ensures that all test cases and their associated test results are documented in Testlink
• Responsible for alerting the development team of issues that may bring compliance scores down
• Experience working with Accessibility Tools for major browsers - Firefox, IE, Chrome and Safari
• Conducts test cases peer reviews.
• Conducts test cases walkthroughs, if needed.
• Submits status reports.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or any IT-related courses
• With at least six (6) months experience as Software QA

• Technical skills
  • Basic knowledge of Accessibility testing of Enterprise Web applications
  • Basic knowledge of validating web applications for Section 508 (Revised) and WCAG 2.0 Level A, AA and AAA compliance
  • Basic knowledge of working with assistive technology for accessibility testing (e.g. JAWS, NVDA, AXE, VoiceOver (OSX & iOS), and Android Talkback)
  • Basic knowledge of Test Management tools (e.g. Testlink, JIRA)
  • Basic knowledge of different testing platforms (e.g. Desktop, Mobile, Browser)
  • Basic knowledge of Remote Server Management tools (e.g. Putty, WinSCP, RDC)
  • Basic knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Basic knowledge of the different software development methodologies
  • Basic knowledge of different Operating Systems (e.g. Windows and Linux) is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Accessibility testing across different browsers – Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari
  • Understanding of global accessibility laws and standards such as WCAG 2.0, Section 508. Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Amendment (ADA) is a plus
  • Experience in testing Mobile apps for accessibility is a plus
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and iOS/Android development best practices
