Solutions Architect  

Responsibilities:

• Acts a consultant solution architect to company’s end customers as well as for internal initiatives of the company.
• Creates and designs application architectures including infrastructure designs, and configures large enterprise applications based on the business requirements.
• Creates documents and presentations of the desired future state of application architecture, and the gaps between current and future states. Provides transition plans to close the gaps.
• Provides solution recommendations that have an important impact on segments of the business.
• Develops high-level and detailed views of current and proposed IT architectures.
• Serves as technical expert in one or more applications within a program or portfolio of either the end customer or internal company initiatives.
• Makes sure that solution designs meet requirements for scalability, performance and quality in accordance with negotiated service level agreements.
• Under minimal direction, plans and conducts research in application technologies in support of business objectives.
• Participates in the assessment and resolution of software defects discovered during the quality assurance process.
• Works with product designers, developers, QA engineers, Cloud & DevOps management and infrastructure, to ensure quality and the successful implementation of new product applications
• Assists project management with the development of work breakdown structures and project plans required to implement applications.
• Participates in design reviews for implementation projects.
• Assists IT and Business groups in the evolution of technology and business roadmaps.
• Conducts technical evaluations and performs cost/benefit analysis.
• Assists in the development of the disaster recovery strategy.
• Understands IS Security measures and current standards, practices and technology.

• Degree in computer science or computer engineering, information management systems, software development or business information systems
• In-depth working knowledge in web and mobile application development
• Proficiency in either java or javascript
• Knowledge of Frontend Web Technologies (e.g. React, Angular etc)
• Working knowledge of cloud computing technologies including AWS compute, storage, and database services
• Knowledgeable in designing and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant, enterprise-grade architectures
• Previous experience of requirements gathering, design and solution building
• Ability to cope under pressure and prioritize work accordingly
• Ability to work independently and to be proactive
