Strategic Purchasing Officer  

The position of Strategic Purchasing Officer is responsible for the procurement and process application as it supports Insight’s operations and order fulfillment. This will include working operational issues with suppliers, providing strong client service and maintaining quality fullfilment. The Strategic Purchasing Officer will be empowered to resolve issues as they relate to their assigned responsibilities. Teamwork with internal and external departments is necessary to ensure achievement of overall team goals.


Responsibilities:

• Creating purchasing orders and procuring company goods and services based on the approved budget

• Researching and communicating with potential vendors and suppliers to find the best goods and services for the company

• Monitoring Records and updating internal data bases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts etc.)

• Reviews Service contracts prior Service Provider Agreement and awarding.

• Tracking and maintaining the status to ensure timely delivery

• All other tasks that may be assigned by the Management depending on the exigencies of the organization.

Educational Attainment:

• Must have at least an educational attainment equivalent to a college/bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or any related course.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of Purchasing and Procurement.
• Ideally has an experience or exposure to Media or Creative productions.
• Knowledgeable with contract and vendor management.

• Ability to relate/connect with people, both upwards and downwards
• To be agile, must practice his/her expertise with Unquestionable Integrity
• Ability to think outside the box
• Be patient and remain calm in front of complaining stakeholders, vendors, suppliers, and third-party providers.
