Purchasing Assistant  

We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to order supplies and equipment based on our company’s needs. Purchasing Assistant responsibilities include researching new vendors, tracking deliveries and updating order records. You should be an innovator with an eye for spotting market trends.

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will make cost-effective purchases and ensure we maintain a fully stocked inventory.

Responsibilities:

• Placing and tracking orders.
• Research potential vendors.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Assisting with the inspection of goods.
• Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
• Update internal databases with order details.
• Conduct market research to identify pricing trends.
• Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices.
• Assisting with negotiation strategies and making recommendations.
• Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
• Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field.
• Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant or similar role.
• Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Knowledge of market research.
