Proofreader  

• To proofread a daily quota of English texts with the highest quality possible before submission
• To manage projects and files
• To handle files for processing and delivery
• To assure that all outputs are thoroughly proofread before submission to clients
• To assess the overall quality of linguists based on their performances as English translators
• To communicate with the linguists for validations and clarifications of their submitted outputs
• To check the following:
  • Grammar check
  • Spell check
  • Punctuation check
  • Syntax check
  • Readability
  • Layout
• Final Eye (post processing checks)

• Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
  • Computer/technology literacy
  • Keen orientation to details and deadlines
  • Ability to balance speed and quality
  • Impeccable oral and written communication
  • Linguistic knowledge
• At least 1-year experience as an editorial staff/assistant for a magazine or newspaper with primary function as a proofreader or worked for his/her college newspaper with primary function as a proofreader.
• Applicant should be familiar with basic English writing, grammar, and punctuation. He/She must also be conversant in English.
• Applicant should also be knowledgable about any different topics from the interesting to the mundane.

The applicant must be positive and willing to learn new things in order to hone his crafts and social skills. He must understand that as the company grows, the company would also want him to grow.

Applicants must be adaptable to changes, can easily shift between being an independent worker and a team player, and can work under less to zero supervision.

The Applicants must be willing to work in Marikina/Antipolo area (along Marcos hi-way) and willing to work in any assigned shift.
