Purchasing Officer  

Primarily responsible in the overall purchasing supervision focusing on supplies acquisition and/or other procurement- related duties in accordance with day-to-day requirements of the company.

PROCUREMENT AND PURCHASING SUPERVISION

• Takes charge in maintaining various supplies appropriate to the needs of the company operations and expedites purchase of day-to-day supplies and equipment as need arise with the approval of GSD Manager;
• Coordinates, compares and evaluates most suitable suppliers to meet the operational requirements of the company;
• Recommends the acquisition of materials, equipment and supplies for the company’s business operation and makes appropriate assessment on the quality, quantity and schedule of purchase to ensure cost-efficiency; and
• Supervises sales contract negotiations for purchasing expendable and semi/non-expendable items.

INVENTORY SUPERVISION

• Supervises the monitoring and control of stock levels and place orders as needed;
• Establishes economic inventory levels in order to ensure availability of regularly-used supplies/items at the least cost;
• Establishes regular stock inventory inspection to guarantee constant working condition.

PURCHASING STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT AND ENHANCEMENT

• Provides support in the formulation and improvement of operational manual, standards and policies for procurement and purchasing processes.

REPORTORIAL COMPLIANCE

• Complies and submits all required documents/ reports within the prescribed timeframe.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, or it's equivalent
• Three to five to (3-5) years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
