Travel Consultant  

• Proven ability to create international travel arrangements including air, hotel and ground transportation. At least 80% of transactions will be multi-segment, multi-destination international itineraries.

• Ability to handle multi-cultural sometimes multi-lingual clientele.

• Use available sources such as news agencies, etc. to stay informed of current international affairs.

• Understanding and expertise in international travel requirements, i.e. visas and passports

• Excellent communication skills and follow through required to advise clients of those requirements.

• Operate with discretion within well-defined policy, regular managerial review.

• Utilize company preferred vendors to maximize profit, and ensures compliance with the clients’ travel policy.

• Attends staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in the travel industry and office procedures.

• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.

• Adheres to company standards in delivering customer service including telephone etiquette, and follows prescribed customer service escalation procedures.

• Follows company procedures, guidelines and standards in building Passenger Name Records, utilization of tools, productivity, accuracy of work, and attendance.

• Performs other duties as required and assigned

• Has completed at least 2 years in college
• with at least 1 year experience in handling corporate travel account
• with experience in handling Global Distribution Systems such as Sabre, Galileo and Amadeus is required
• Must have knowledge in travel industry and has obtained reservation skills in order to make international itineraries
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Amenable to shifting schedule
