Front End Web Developer  

The Front-End Developer is responsible for creating, maintaining, and amending the front end portions of dynamic web applications, with an emphasis on integrating backend API’s with HTML via a dynamic templating language.

• Minimum of 2 years development experience with the following: Javascript (designing and implementing modular and maintainable), DOM, CSS (both inline and external, including table-less CSS 2.0 layouts), HTML, Templating language (i.e. Template-Toolkit, JSP, ASP) NOTE: Candidates dependent upon WYSIWYG applications will not be considered
• Expertise with pertinent Web design standards & issues (e.g. browser/platform compatibility)
• Experience working in a collaborative environment with graphic designers, back-end developers and project managers
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts / requirements to a variety of groups, including fellow developers, product, and management
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Exceptional debugging ability
• Experience with an Ajax library such as Prototype.js, Scriptaculous, Dojo, Yahoo! UI
• Familiarity with server side scripting and database concepts (PHP, Perl, SQL etc)
• Object-Oriented application programming experience
• Experience with version control
• Experience optimizing code for performance improvement
• Experience developing multilingual sites
• Possesses time management skills needed to manage multiple tasks/priorities
