Senior Business Data Analyst  

MicroSourcing is currently in need of a Senior Business Data Analyst for our Australian client. This data role is very new in the company and ideally we’d like a candidate with 3-5 years of experience but we are also open to Mid and Junior applicants. The role would report directly into the Head of Strategy & Operation. We would like someone with knowledge and experience working with Python, Redshift, MySQL and Tableau.

General Skills and Responsibilities:

• Maintaining existing documentation
• Strong analytical ability, involving conducting in-depth data analysis and creating insightful reports with conclusions and recommendations for senior management to implement
• Deep understanding of business needs and metrics across various departments (Operations, Marketing, Tech, Product, Finance)
• Comfortable working independently. You’ll be our first Data Analyst working directly with our Head of Strategy & Operations and other Executive team members to drive better understanding of data across the account.
• Work with multiple data sets and help to identify actionable data
• Validate and interpret large complex data sources
• Comfortable with context switching to concurrently work on multiple projects
• 50% of your time will be spent on the back end (data cleaning, SQL, python, etc.) and 50% on visualization projects in Excel & Tableau

Technical Skills:

• Experience in designing, compiling and updating data reports in Tableau and Excel
• Advanced excel skills including Pivot tables, dynamic named ranges, index-match, macro’s and visualization
• Understanding of data collection and data storage practices related to user Privacy and security
• Understanding how to use different statistical methods to analyze and mine business data
• Generate business reports and make recommendations using different tools and reports using Excel, Tableau and PowerPoint
• Must know advanced SQL (MySQL and Redshift), including the use of complex joins and window operations
• Python to maintain and update existing data migration and transformation scripts

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in MySQL, Git, Python
• Outstanding problem-solving skills
• Data Visualization in Tableau and Google Data Studio (Tableau experience is
• a huge plus!)
• Cloud-based database experience
• Analytical platforms: Segment, Mixpanel or Google Analytics
• Willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig
