Lodging Development Specialist  

The Lodging Development Specialist will finalise the business plan and start-up training and operations for a small ready-to-use lodging of 7 units due to be launched this December 2019. He or she will work closely and report directly to the Board & Project Manager. This will include the following responsibilities:

• Create & execute a start-up business plan for the small lodging development (experience design, operations, human resources, branding & marketing, design, financials, compliance) following existing conceptual notes from the Project Manager:
  • The lodging must be able to provide thoughtful, quality, localised and unique wellness, science & nature-based experiences, in coordination with the Learning & Development Officer
  • Service excellence and thoughtful, transformative experience design is a must
  • Sustainable hospitality practices must be integrated into design and operations
• Source, purchase, lead the designing of necessary elements of the development
• Create service delivery handbook and train the starting team in time for execution in December 2019
• Create branding guidelines and marketing materials for the development alongside designers
• This is a 3-6 month project-based engagement.

• Background in project and business management, from conceptualization to execution, across its different components, is a must.
• Professional experience in the hospitality and tourism sector locally or internationally
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in the sector
• Individual must be able to work independently and resourcefully to fully execute the project within the year
• Exposure to five-star standards of nature-based luxury small hotels or lodges internationally is a plus. This may be from a consumer or professional viewpoint,
