Software Engineer

We’re currently looking for dynamic software engineers with a knack for developing robust web services and elevating our teams to new heights.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop one of our web services with modern web technologies
• Collaborate with teams to make our services and teams better
• Work collaboratively with other software engineers, UI/UX designer, and product manager to help see features through, from idea, planning to development and release
• Participates on code reviews and gives feedback and suggestions
• Contributes in improving coding methodologies, techniques, and best practices
• Take initiative in organizational activities.

Technical Skills Requirements:

• Practical Development Experience: Over 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, including designing, building, and deploying web services using modern technologies
• Proficiency in Full-Stack Development: Expertise in both front-end and back-end development, including languages and frameworks such as JavaScript (React.js, Angular, Vue.js), HTML/CSS, Ruby (Ruby on Rails), Golang etc.
• Software Development Lifecycle: Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Problem-Solving and Debugging: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and troubleshoot issues across the full stack.
• Collaboration and Communication: Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in collaborative team environments.
• Continuous Learning and Adaptability: Proven ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving industry trends. Passion for continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with the latest software engineering tools, frameworks, and best practices.

Good to have qualifications:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including services like EC2, etc.
• Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Experience in iterative development, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated testing practices.
• Experience in designing, developing, and operating services from scratch
• Understanding of Products, Business, and Customer Needs
• Leadership Experience, including mentorship, team management, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
• Experience in contributing beyond technical tasks, such as evaluation, hiring process, and hosting of tech events

Work Arrangement:

• Full-time employment
• Probationary period: 6 months (to ensure seamless fit)
• Work location: 11th Flr. 142 Amorsolo Building, 142 Amorsolo Street, Legaspi Village, Brgy. San Lorenzo, Makati City 1229
• Working hours: 9AM – 6PM Philippine time (with 8 core working hours and 1-hour break)
• Hybrid Working Arrangement: 3 days working on site and 2 days work from home (with 5,000 - 10,000 transporation or housing assitance subsidy monthly)
