Local Head of Marketplace Engagement  

Overall Job Purpose

• The Lead Marketplace Engagement is responsible for driving the growth of seller and partner engagement through streamlined and consistent B2B online and offline marketing and communications.
• Align with regional seller communication and marketing strategy to ensure consistency in seller pitch

Duties & Responsibilities

• Own all communications channels / platforms locally, ensure content integrity and drive streamlined seller messaging + communications.
• Build effective local seller community through understanding of seller profiles and requirements.
• Gain mindshare with local B2B media through consistent messaging and business topics in close collaboration with the country PR lead
• Drive seller engagement through online and offline marketing activities

Qualification

• At least a degree in Marketing/Branding or Communication related discipline

Experience

• At least 6 or more years of experience in B2B communications across the full spectrum of branding, marketing, PR and events.
• Experience in eCommerce / tech industry will be an advantage

Competency

• Excellent English/local language copy writing and marketing communications skills
• Independent, proactive and adaptable
• A demonstrated sense of priority, reliability, flexibility and the tenacity to work in a challenging and fast-changing environment
• Strong people management skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated hands-on experience applying social media techniques for outreach, engagement
• Knowledge of key target audiences – a keen understanding of and appreciation for online sellers – how they behave; what they want and need; what forms of communication they prefer for specific interactions
• Knowledge of and effective relationships with local/regional/national and other relevant media as appropriate – including online bloggers, editors and news aggregators.
