Visual Merchandise/ Activity Specialist  

Your Assignments:

1. Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
2. Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people’s life at home.
3. Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and display techniques in different store media and activity areas to distance us from the competition.
4. Constantly showing new and inspiring home furnishing solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.
5. Securing the use of the store layout to create a good product overview and strong visual impact that facilitates the buying process.
6. Secure high quality, simplicity, efficiency and cost consciousness when planning and implementing all range presentation solutions using global tools and best practices.
7. Stay up to date and knowledgeable about home furnishing, retailing and trends in order to contribute in workshops to generate creative ideas.
8. Contribute to the content of the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business and support long-term profitability and execute the agreed plans together with the Com&In team and other functions.
9. Respect routines and responsibilities, work together with Com&In team and other functions, act quickly to exploit commercial op-portunities and understand the impact of your actions on the financial results.
10. Keep visitors in mind when working on the shop floor, ensure disruption is minimized and stay aware of the importance of safety and the visual impact for visitors at all times.

Your Profile:

1. Education/experienced in visual merchandising, design or art.
2. Experience in Retail will be an advantage
3. A deep passion, curiosity and understanding of home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home.
4. Creative thinking supported by commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics.
5. Actively seeking new and improved ways of working simply and cost-efficiently.
6. A practical hands-on approach to working in a fast-paced retail environment.
7. Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using relevant software (e.g. AutoCad).
8. Basic communication skills in English.
9. Willing to work at Alam Sutera, Tangerang.
10. Willing to work on Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays when needed.
