Associate Design Manager  

The Associate Design Manager assists in managing a design team in creating quality creative content on a daily basis. A very good communicator who can present ideas clearly and concisely; can negotiate with clients and internal accounts teams. An expert understanding of typography, layout, animation and art direction will be needed to help the team produce the best work possible. A strong foundation in team + time management. The Associate Design Manager is a strong communicator, who can work with other team members to better understand what is needed but can also explain the designer’s creations and the rationale behind them. Up to date with current design trends in and around the social media space. As this is a managerial title, a minimum of 6 years in the industry is a requirement.

Expected Outcomes

First 90 Days

1. Focus on learning important internal processes, tools and workflows and look for opportunities to experience them directly by helping people out with projects.
2. Define a structured set of goals with Creative Director to both pass your 3 months probation, make the best use of your time and skillset, and contribute to the business goals
3. Get to know the team, their personalities, strengths and weaknesses and then use this new information to define gaps to take the team to the next level; as well as identifying team goals.

Day-to-Day Expectations

• Managing a team of designers and ensuring that they are meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work.
• Communicating with clients and internal teams to understand their needs and ensure that designs meet expectations.
• Developing and implementing design strategies that align with our clients' goals.
• Staying up-to-date on the latest design trends and technologies.
