Parrot is a legal transcription service company that combines AI and actual people to deliver 100% accurate, interactive, low cost transcriptions. It has built a proprietary software that automatically records and syncs the audio and video of depositions.

Role Summary

Parrot is looking for transcribers who have experience in transcribing audio materials in the legal, medical, and insurance fields. The transcriber must have 100% accuracy, since the materials are deemed as legally admissible in US courts.

Responsibilities

- Complete transcriptions in a timely manner and reviewing drafts for any spelling,

grammar, or formatting errors, as well as other inconsistencies

- Adhering to all confidential guidelines and respecting sensitive information

- Communicating with the client or supervisor when there are issues

- Understand legal, medical, and insurance terminology and abbreviations

- Employ the use of transcription software

- Proofread and edit transcribed reports to ensure 100% accuracy

- Able to identify accents such as African American, Hespanic, etc.

Requirements

- Keen attention to detail

- 1-3 experience in the transcription field

- Good typing speed and excellent reading skills.

- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven

- Willingness to work overtime if required

- Has an excellent grasp of spoken and written English and can articulate

ideas clearly and concisely

- Must be willing to work CEST Office Hours (10pm-7am PHT)
