Cobena is a data analytics company founded back in 2016 by seven executives who shared a common dream: to bring data sciences into the Philippines and help create a “third leg” to the Philippine economy, after our OFWs and BPOs. The dream was simple; in a country with an abundant supply of intelligent technical graduates who were equally creative and articulate, there lay the opportunity to supply the world with data scientists: unicorns who could help make businesses smarter with data-driven decision making. Fast forward, three years later, Cobena is now at the forefront of the data sciences industry in the Philippines, and in 2018 was recognized by APAC CIO magazine to be among the Top 10 Business Intelligence Providers in the Asia Pacific. And, beginning this year, APAC Business Insights recognized Cobena to be among Asia Pacific’s Fastest Growing Data analytics companies. Both publications are based in Silicon Valley. In its brief history, Cobena has had over 100 projects across the Philippines, South East Asia, Hong Kong, and Japan. Among its top clients are Multinationals like Nestle, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson, and some of the country’s top conglomerates like Ayala, San Miguel, Globe, JG Summit, and Metrobank. Cobena has offices in the Philippines and Singapore. Beyond its roster of top clients, Cobena is extremely proud of its 40 Data Scientists and Business analysts, who hold top honors and master’s degrees from the country’s premier universities. Where other companies still struggle to find the magic formula when it comes to succeeding with millennials, Cobena seems to have found just what it takes to breed and keep the country’s top talent. Cobena in August 2020, became part of Demand Sciences, a business intelligence platform based in Boston Massachusetts.
